Regulations for non- UCSD affiliates and all individuals listing with UCSD’s Commuter Student Service office.

In order to list with Commuter Student Services (CSS) landlords must abide by the following: Landlords that do not follow these regulations will not be able to post their listings with Commuter Student Services.


1. Treat the CSS staff with respect and dignity; that includes in person, via telephone or email.

2. CSS will edit your listing 2 times. If you choose to make additional changes, please redo another listing.

3. You may post a listing via the Internet or put it in writing. We do not accept faxes. CSS will not take verbal listings over the phone or take verbal listings in person.

4. If you are uncomfortable with using the Internet, please ask for assistance.

5. Under California’s Fair Employment and Housing Act, landlords may not discriminate in their listing.

6. The CSS staff may edit or delete any remarks within the listing that may be deemed discriminatory in nature.

7. Your listing will post within 48 to 72 hours of our receipt of your posting.

*If you are unable to abide to the above regulations, you will not be able to list with Commuter Student Services. All decisions will be made by the Manager of Commuter Student Services.
